Rider's Responsibilities

A TGIM Trackday is intended to be a day of fun and practice (not for racing or competing) at the track by riders who already have experience and knowledge about proper track behaviour and etiquette. The responsibility for riders’ behaviour, safety, and equipment rests with each rider. As the organizers, it is our responsibility to provide the track and amenities and to ride and enjoy the day with you.

It is expected that each rider will arrive with bike fully prepared for track (and this includes removal of antifreeze), proper up-to-date track gear in good condition, knowledge of riding in accordance with race lines, entering and exiting the track, flag procedures, and safe passing practices. Although the onus rests with each rider, the Committee reserves the right to prohibit inappropriate behaviour for the safety of the group, and to exclude any rider should that be necessary.

Selection Requirements
Individuals who we feel possess the necessary qualities, are familiar to TGIM and considered most likely to fit in with what we have in mind are specifically invited to join us.

The only way we can ensure the quality of the TGIM Track Day experience is to ensure the quality of the riders who attend. This is not an open series of track days: attendance is by invitation only, to folks we know have the kind of attitude that we are pleased to share the track with. We will be happy to consider extending this invitation to riders recommended by existing participants or that we feel will fit in with our philosophy.

If you'd like to join us and believe that you meet the requirements please go to our online form to send us your information.

Upon receiving your email we'll send you an application form, payment instructions, and provide you with any addition information you may require.  Contact us today as space is very limited.

Cost
The TGIM Trackdays for 2009 are offered as a 2-day package with a total cost of $360, payable at the time of reservation.  We ride rain or shine (of course it will shine!) with refunds strictly on the basis of the policies of Shannonville Motorsport Park. In other words, we're all in this together, lads!

If any rider can't make a date, he or she may find an appropriately experienced replacement rider to recoup the cost of the day, but the Committee reserves the right to approve the replacement rider based on personal knowledge or the assurances of the original member, the criteria being as discussed on this website.

Disclaimer
  • A comprehensive waiver of liability must be signed at Shannonville by all participants and volunteers.
  • All participants are deemed to have read and agreed to the terms and rules of participation, and are required to sign a hard copy of this web page affirming this, in addition to the waiver forms.
  • All participants agree that by attending this event it is agreed and understood that the track day does not represent an environment for any racing or speed tests. These activities are strictly prohibited. The purpose of the day is to ride as safely as possible and have fun with your fellow riders by practicing and improving your riding skills in a more controlled environment.
